Outer fabric that breathes and can withstand rain
As the outer shell we have chosen light and tear-resistant rip-stop nylon or durable. On both jackets and skirts are the fabrics DWR- processed, or manufactured with a coating according to an index can tolerate different amounts of water. Rain garment should have, as the index of how much water it can withstand, about 2000 mm of water. Uhip’s garments can withstand 3-10000 mm of water, which means a corresponding vattenmänd rain for 1 -2 hours. The coating is made so as not to let through large droplets from the outside but därmeot water vapor, which means that the fabric releases moisture from the inside that occur when you get sweaty.
The fabrics are also CIRE treated. CIRE is a type of wax treatment that makes the fabric soft and durable but also to withstand moisture better.
Our materials is Oeko-Tex certified fabrics and does not contain ‘hazardous Chemical Substances in accordance with EU directives.
We have chosen a down-like material in synthetic / microfiber because unlike other materials they keep the heat in wet environments. Syntetdun has the same thermal properties as down but it dries in no time. Dun is for dry and cold weather, and clumps together when wet, then loses its warming function. The down-like material coming from Dupont.
Dupont Sorona See – the environmentally friendly insulation

Of Sorona is made among other fabrics of various kinds as well as a down-like insulation to outerwear and sleeping bags. The insulation is based on an advanced technologist call the Sorona See and the one we use is called Pro and Micro. Sorna Pro and Micro is made from the finest fibers which also means that it is warmest and softest. The fine fibers form tiny air pockets that lock in heat and so makes the garment hot.
In addition to the good thermal properties inhale the fibers and dries extremely quickly. Fibers Sorona Please make sure you keep the heat even though the garment would get wet.
Sorona is Oeko-tex certified and no hazardous chemicals used in the products in accordance with EU directives.
